Ledger Live is the official software application developed by Ledger® to manage cryptocurrencies with its hardware wallets (Ledger Nano S Plus, Ledger Nano X, etc.). It allows users to send, receive, buy, sell, stake, and monitor digital assets securely—all while keeping your private keys stored offline on your Ledger device.
Ensure the packaging is sealed and the device has not been tampered with. Only use hardware purchased directly from authorized retailers or the official manufacturer.
On your computer or mobile device, install the official Ledger Live application. This will be the interface through which you manage your crypto assets. Make sure you download the correct version for your operating system.
Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device. You’ll be prompted to create a PIN code and generate a 24-word recovery phrase. This phrase is your backup—store it securely and never share it. Ledger will never ask for your recovery phrase.
Launch Ledger Live and select “Get Started.” Choose your device model and confirm that it’s new or previously initialized. Connect the device via USB or Bluetooth (for supported models).
Using Ledger Live, install apps for the cryptocurrencies you want to manage (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Solana). Once installed, add accounts so you can send, receive, and track your holdings.
To receive crypto, select “Receive,” choose the asset, and verify the address on your device. To send, select “Send,” enter the recipient’s address, amount, and approve the transaction on your device screen.
